Sardinia is a magical land for windsurfing, and not only for it. Bruno, a freelancers of ours, introduces an East Coast windsurf spot, which he tested during his last summer holidays.
The Costa da Caparica, in the Setubal peninsula, just south of Lisbon, is perhaps not well known for windsurfing as the Cascais area. But, probably, it would deserve greater fame. Infact, in addition to offering several spots, often right also for beginners/intermediate level windsurfers, in the swell days, it guarantees an exceptional wave quality, perhaps even better than one of other more famous spots. We have tried Sao Joao da Caparica.
Sometimes, Mistral reaches Cannes.... and when it does, it can blow very strong over Palm Beach. On 9th december 2018, the wind reached 45 kts (and maybe more), and only few guys dared to challenge those conditions!
The spot of Pra de la Fam, at Tignale, on Garda Lake, is one of the best spot of the lake where you can ride with the Peler, the typical morning thermal wind, or with foehn winds from the North. We tried it, and we were immediately well impressed by its characteristics.
It's been a good week for Bora Wind in Sottomarina (Venice, Italy), the last one just passed, between late September and early October 2015. In the first part, it gave a lot of wind (though not always optimal as direction and stability), and waves to jump and surf. In the second half, the waves have become smaller, but more regular, and the skies have been covered. But the fun was not missed.

Finally, we found a spot where the Tramontana (North wind) in Liguria, if a little rotated from North East, can become very enjoyable: today at La Rabina, Imperia, we had great fun. A big thank you to my friend from Turin, Marco Full Elia, for having encouraged me to come to Liguria today, and for letting us know a really good spot.
